Bemidji Skating Laws Face Changes

Kristjan Thorlacius is a Bemidji State student who wanted to make a difference.

Bemidji’s ban on the activity downtown, as well as on the BSU campus, has prevented him from skating to class when convenient.

So he collected 300 signatures and brought an argument for the ban’s reversal to city council. They’ve heard his reasoning and have drafted an ordinance that would alter the rules.

If the changes pass when the council completes its third reading on Dec. 21, Thorlacius may get his wish.
