Bemidji Sends Three Wrestlers To State

After capturing Section 8AA championships at 126 pounds and 182 pounds, seniors Indi Farris and Gannon Strain will be wrestling for an individual state title. They’ll also be joined by 220 pound senior Wyatt Yoemans, who took second at the section tournament. For Strain and Yoemans, this will be their second straight appearance at State. But it will be a new experience for Farris, who is headed to State for the first time. Strain received the three seed, and Farris the eighth in their respective brackets, but all three Lumberjack wrestlers expect to do well at the tournament. And Head Coach Rance Bahr couldn’t think of a better way for the trio to close out their careers than at the state tournament.
