Bemidji Man Pleads Guilty To Multiple Burglaries

A thirty one year old Bemidji man charged with multiple burglaries in Beltrami and Hubbard counties pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of third-degree burglary and one count of second-degree burglary in Beltrami county.

Back in February Nicholas Richard Helfenstein, admitted to entering two fish houses on lake Bemidji, and taking tools and electronics from a garage attached to house back in June.

He was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary.

According to court records on March second, Helfenstein posted a non-cash bond of ten thousand dollars. He was arrested again for burglary on June tenth for burglary and attempting to sell the stolen items on Craigslist.

The criminal complaint says that Helfenstein is also charged with third-degree burglary in Hubbard county committed sometime between April twenty fifth and may twenty seventh.

He will be sentenced in Beltrami county on September nineteenth.
