Bemidji Kohl’s Officially Opens

After Bemidji’s Kmart closed at the Paul Bunyan Mall in the fall of 2012, much of the space has sat empty until now. Today the 35,000 square foot Kohl’s store officially opened.

Kohl’s management staff along with Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors cut a giant ribbon before the store opened Friday morning.

Bemidji’s Kohl’s store is unique in the fact its one of only a few that is attached to a mall.

This morning a line stretched down the malls sidewalk filled with anxious customers waiting to check out the new retailer.

Kohl’s will continue their grand opening celebration through tomorrow where the first 50 customers will get free Fitbits and the following 50 customers will get gift cards.
