Bemidji High School Swim Team Swims For A Cause

An early morning on Lake Bemidji with rough waters didn’t stop the Bemidji High School swim team from participating in this year’s Swim For A Cause. During the event, the team swims across Lake Bemidji to raise money for the swim team and the Forward Foundation. The swim is around 5 miles and starts from the shores of Rutgers and ends at the Green Mill restaurant. Boats guide swimmers along the way, and even one mom took the plunge for a good cause. Even though the swim team gets a portion of the proceeds, these swimmers say its really about kids helping each other out. The money raised supports families with children that have life-threatening medical problems.
