Bemidji Girls High School Basketball Preview

The Bemidji Girls High School basketball team currently stand with a one and two record on the season after a significant change in their roster. Last season, nine seniors filled the varsity squad and this year there’s only one. Head Coach Larry Dahl hopes to develop this squad early in the season to reach their peak come tournament time.

Last nights 60 to 48 loss against Hibbing was not the way the Bemidji girls basketball team wanted to end the game. Emily knows she has a big role to fill as the lone senior, but knows it takes the entire team to win. She believes a big contribution of the younger group is the fresh attitudes that they bring to the court.

Rumor Flatness is also contributing in a huge way as the team leading scorer as well as a freshman leader and returner to this varsity squad. Regardless of their youthfulness, the team still has high expectations continuing into their season.
