Bemidji Girls’ Basketball preview

Bemidji went 5-21 last season and have not finished with a winning record since they qualified for the class AAAA state tournament in 2010.
Changes were needed, so the Lumberjacks turned to new head coach Larry Dahl.
Bemidji wants to do a lot differently this year, and it all starts with the mental part of the game.
Coach Dahl preaches mental toughness, but he places plenty of emphasis on making sure his team is physically ready.
Bemidji will play a pretty basic offense. They prefer to beat their opponents down the floor, and when they cannot, they’ll spread the wealth.
Defensively, the message is clear: If you don’t play “D,” you don’t play.
