The Lumberjacks’ tennis team has been making a big racket. Bemidji has won every match, but head coach Mark Fodness believes their best tennis remains ahead of them.

The Jacks stand at 6-0, but the victories have not come easily. Half of the wins came down to the final match in 4-3 victories.

Matt Hokanson enters his third season of playing number one singles for Bemidji. Hokanson and other veterans provide good consistency as Bemidji receives a nice boost from two newcomers Jacob Friis-Hasche and Joseph Ritorto. The Denmark foreign exchange student Friis-Hasche plays two singles. Ritorto relocates to Bemidji from Las Vegas and fills the number four singles position.

The Lumberjacks believe they can match their early success with a run at the Section 8AA title.
