Bemidji Boys Soccer Beats Sartell-St. Stephen For 3rd Straight Section Title

The Bemidji boys soccer team defeated Sartell-St. Stephen 3-1 to advance to their third straight tournament. Silas Hess scored all three goals for the Lumberjacks in their win.

“I felt good, obviously my teammates did a lot of work out there,” said Hess. “I was just luckily on the end of it. I didn’t do much, they were putting the ball in the right spots.”

“It’s a little unnerving to think that the expectation is this game every year,” said head coach Rick Toward. As a coach, we know that that’s the level we’re expected to perform at. It’s kind of exciting but it’s also a little nerve-racking to think that anything less than getting to the section final is a disappointing season. We’re thrilled just to keep playing.”
