Bemidji finished their 2014 season in the Section 8 AAA semifinal with a record of 16-6. The Lumberjacks refuse to settle for that short of a season, this year.

Head coach Mike Fogelson says this group shows the most determination of any team he has coached in his ten years at Bemidji High School. Bemidji returns six starting position players, but only two pitchers. Filling the rotation may lead to some growing pains for up-and-coming hurlers. The pitchers will have the luxury of counting on a solid defense. Bemidji gave up the 16th fewest runs per game in Class AAA last season at 3.2 runs per contest.

The offense struggled at times in 2014, scoring only 5.5 runs per game. The Lumberjacks see the bats breaking out this spring.
