The Bemidji Axemen finished their inaugural season with a record of 5-9. The team looks to move forward in year two with several new players and a new head coach. Dixie Wooten served as the Defensive Coordinator last season before taking the reins this season. Linebacker Jory Johnson returns for his second season to anchor the Axemen defense. The offense looks to a new leader in quarterback Terrance Owens. The University of Toledo stand-out threw for more than 8,200 yards with 63 touchdowns while rushing for more than 900 yards and 9 touchdowns in 4 years of college football.
