Bemidji Aircorps Aviation Brings Restored WWII Plane Back To Life

Her name is Sierra Sue II. She’s a 1944 p-51 mustang fighter plane. And, she’s one of the rarest planes of her kind that are still flight-worthy. It took the group about three years to restore the Sierra Sue back to its original state, and even though the airplane is almost 70 years old, almost every nut, bolt, and paint stroke is original.
