Baxter City Council Approves Franchise Fee

After three years the Baxter city council has reached a decision on the pending franchise fee. They voted four to one to approve the motion as is.

The money collected from the fee will go to cover the cost of asphalt sealing on the city streets and other services.Many business leaders and community members were hoping for the council to find an alternative to the tax.

The council believes that the fee is a fair way to include all members of the community.

They are hoping that this will save the city money in the future.
