Barthelt Garners NSIC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Honors; BSU Picked to Finish 3rd

BSU women’s soccer senior forward Katrina Barthelt was voted the NSIC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year for 2025.

The second-year captain was the 2024 Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference in regular season scoring with 11 goals and a league-high 25 points. She was also named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week three times last season in addition to being named All-NSIC and D2CCA All-Region 1st team.

Redshirt senior Emma Huelsnitz was tabbed as the Beavers’ Defensive Player to Watch.

Also released Thursday was the NSIC Soccer Preseason Coaches’ Poll, and Bemidji State was picked to finish third overall behind Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State, the latter playing in the national title game last year.

The Beavers will be celebrating 30 seasons of women’s soccer in 2025. They begin practice Monday, August 18.
