Middle hitters are known more for their blocking at the net. But last season, middle hitter Jordyn Glenz earned her 1000th dig on the Verndale Volleyball Team. And just last week in tournament play, she surpassed 1,000 kills making her the first player at Verndale to reach the 1,000 dig and 1,000 kill benchmark.

In the back of her mind Jordyn Glenz knew she was close to achieving a record of 1,000 kills.

And even though her fellow pirates boast about her accomplishment, Jordyn remains humble.

But volleyball is something that seems to run in the Glenz family.

Adding to the Verndale roster of players with 1,000 kills is younger sister Shania.

But they aren’t the first of the Glenz family to reach their 1,000 kill.

And with Shania only about 50 digs away, she hopes to eventually obtain the same record as her older sister.

The stats that just two of the Glenz sisters bring to the team, have paved the way for the teams success.
