Artist Charles Kapsner has dedicated the past couple years of his life to his five part “Veterans Art Project”. On Saturday he was finally able to unveil the third piece of the project.

The eight foot by ten foot oil painting took Kapsner eighteen to twenty months to complete. With the custom made frame it weighs over two hundred pounds. It will be hanging on the wall in the Committal Hall at the Minnesota States Veterans Cemetery for years to come.

The project wouldn’t exist without veteran Gordon Gerling who asked Kapsner to do the project and he couldn’t be happier.

Kapsner is honored to show his appreciation for our nations military members.

Kapsners next piece will be the Marine Core.
