Arrest Made Following Waskish Crash

A woman was arrested following a two-vehicle crash on Saturday near Waskish.

A Minnesota State Patrol report says the incident occurred just after 7:30 p.m. on Highway 72 at Lou Rayne Beach Road, when a Buick Regal Premium made contact with the driver’s side door of a southbound Honda Accord. The Buick was trying to turn west.

Alcohol was found on the breath of the Buick driver, 41-year-old Ann Gillund of Red Lake Falls. She was booked for criminal vehicular operation and is currently in the Beltrami County Jail in Bemidji.

The Honda driver, 47-year-old Warroad resident Tammy Cleven, suffered non-life threatening injuries. She was moved from the scene to Sanford Bemidji Medical Center.
