Annual Bemidji Area ‘Take a Kid Fishing’ Event Draws Anglers to the Water

As summer days with nice weather start to become more frequent, lakes around the area can be seen full of fishing boats. Earlier this week, many of those boats were filled with more inexperienced anglers as Take a Kid Fishing celebrated its 38th annual event.

With school out until next fall, the Take A Kid Fishing initiative is working to keep kids productive over their summer vacations.
