Addiction Recovery Program to Begin in Bemidji

A new program will provide drug and alcohol addiction help to people in Bemidji. The Face It Together branch was signed into existence on Tuesday after executive director Margot Kelsey and her staff met with the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners.

Their solution for helping people overcome dependence consists of three steps: removing barriers, changing the quality of care provided locally and measuring the outcomes of those changes. One of the central elements of this process is providing peer-to-peer mentoring for someone who is working through the program. Six other locations across the United States have agreed to also open Face It Together branches.
