A Generator Causes a Fire at a Nursing Home

LONG PRAIRIE-A back up generator for the CentraCare Health nursing home caught on fire on Monday. The Long Prairie Fire Department contained the fire within 15 minutes. All the patients and staff were evacuated as a precaution. No one was harmed in the incident and the patients and staff returned to the building in less than an hour. The old generator was scheduled to be replaced this month and the new generator has already been installed.
