92 Minnesota Companies Recognized on Inc. 5000 List

92 private companies from Minnesota were recognized for their growth on Inc. Magazine’s annual list of America’s 5,000 Fastest-Growing Companies last week. Companies were ranked based on percentage growth of annual revenue in 2012 and 2015.

Inspire Medical Systems of Maple Grove, MN, was ranked highest in the state at #33 with a 6,889% growth over the three years. It was honored as the third top ranking health companies from the list. The sleep apnea medical technology company will be featured in Inc.’s September issue with the top 500 companies.

“We are proud to be named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list,” said Tim Herbert, President and CEO of Inspire Medial Systems, in an email statement. “The ranking is a testament to the hard work our employees have put in over the past four years, while always maintaining a focus on patient outcomes.”

Other top Minnesotan companies to be featured include Leadpages (#148, Minneapolis), Channel Partners Capital (#176, Maple Grove), Vighter Medical Group (#310, Winona), Morning Sun Financial Services (#359, Golden Valley) and Edge Home Finance Corporation (#372, Edina).

The private enterprises had to have generated at minimum $100,000 in 2012, and $2 million in revenue in 2015. The list is further ranked by other areas such as industry, metropolis areas, gross revenue, employee size and minority-run companies.

The list started in 1982 with 500 companies, but expanded to 5000 in 2007.
