7 Arrested After Red Lake Police Find Heroin Laced With Fentanyl In Redby Residence

Seven people were arrested on Friday, March 29 for controlled substance offenses and outstanding warrants, according to a post on the Red Lake Police Department’s Facebook page.

The Red Lake Department of Public Safety Drug Task Force Team along with the Emergency Response Unit served a search warrant targeting controlled substances at a a Redby residence.

The Red Lake Police Department’s Facebook page said the officers who performed the search found heroin, which was later tested and contained fentanyl, methamphetamine and large quantities of drug paraphernalia. They also found a handgun in a vehicle occupied by two people prohibited from carrying firearms. According to the Red Lake Police Department’s Facebook page, there was one child present in the residence.

The Red Lake Police Department’s Facebook page said that 49-year old Phillip Lussier, 38-year old Alaina Prentice, 37-year old Patrick Tawaha and 34-year old Jorel Martell were arrested and charged with unlawful possession of controlled substance, child endangerment, and disorderly house. Both Martell and Tawaha were also charged with a weapon violation. Lussier, Prentice, Tawaha, Martell along with 36-year old Scott Pemberton and 45- year old William Roy were charged with unlawful unlawful transportation of controlled paraphernalia. 42-year old Julia Oakgrov was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

According to the Red Lake Police Department’s Facebook post the investigation is still ongoing, and all 7 individuals were transported to the Red Lake Detention Center and will be arraigned in Tribal Court.
