Beltrami County has been sending 4-H’ers to the National Shooting Competition for the past 14 years. This year the competition was held in Grand Island, Nebraska. Minnesota sent 35 youth down and 6 were from Beltrami County. Beltrami 4-H was represented on the National Team in Air Rifle by Melissa Perkins, Brett Carlson, Caitlin Klejeski. Their team finished 4th in the Air Rifle Competition overall and they competed in 3 Position, Standing and Silhouette. Klejeski finished 10th overall. Beltrami’s Sara Erickson was a member of the Air Pistol team coached by Beltrami Coach, Rose Erickson. The Minnesota National Air Pistol team finished in 7th overall and took 3rd in the Timed and Rapid Fire event.
