2nd Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

The Second Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser was held in Brainerd on Saturday. The Crossing Arts Alliance and Brainerd Public Schools Community Education held the event to promote the arts and local artists in the lakes area, as well as support a community cause with proceeds going to the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen. For a 20 dollar donation at the door, guests were able to experience the contributions given by locals to support the efforts of the Empty Bowls Fundraiser.

Along with a meal, guests were able to pick out a hand crafted bowl as a reminder of all the empty bowls left in the world.

And it comes at a time in need for the Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen in Brainerd.

With the success of last years proceeds, the organizations hope to exceed that number this year.
