2-Vehicle Crash in Mille Lacs County Claims Life of Big Lake, MN Man

A 69-year-old man from Big Lake was killed in a car crash in Mille Lacs County on Sunday.

The Minnesota State Patrol says that around noon on August 17, Donald Goerisch was involved in a two-vehicle crash in South Harbor Township. He was driving an SUV southbound on Highway 169 over the center line when he struck a pickup truck that was headed northbound.

Goerisch was reported to have not been wearing his seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle, 79-year-old Richard Land and 62-year-old Mary Beth Lick, both from Excelsior, were airlifted to different hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
