$1,000 Worth Of Tools Donated To Pillager High School

A thousand dollars worth of tools were donated to Pillager High School today as part of the final Mid-Minnesota Builders Association’s Tools For Schools program of the school year.

Members of the Builders Association visited the high school today to demonstrate to the students possible opportunities and careers in the trades. This was the fourth Tools For Schools event of the year, with others held at Crosby, Pequot Lakes, and Brainerd.

“Just for them to get that hands-on experience of being able to use a drill, talk to somebody who has been in the trades forever. All of us have started out at a very young age and at the bottom, and so it’s good for them to know that there can be a very lucrative career for them where they’re not coming out of college with a big debt and they are able to kind of start at a good pay,” said Margie Goebel, member of the Mid-Minnesota Builders Association.

The Mid-Minnesota Builders Association will be holding their annual Spring Lake Area Home Tour coming up on April 26 through April 28.
