Woman Killed in Head-On Crash

A 20-year-old woman was killed in a head-on crash in Mille Lacs County Friday morning that resulted in the closure of highway 23 for a period of time.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash occurred just west of 135th Avenue on Highway 23 around 3:30a.m.

The crash involved a Toyota Corolla and a Volvo semi tractor.

The driver of the car, 20- year- old, Shanna Dahlen of Milaca, was killed in the crash. The driver of the semi sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash remains unknown.
