Tributes To Prince At Singer’s Home Removed

Gifts, artwork and flowers were removed from Prince’s former home Monday. According to WCCO, safety and security concerns have prompted the change.

On Monday, staff members reportedly removed items left alongside the Paisley Park estate fence. The city and the estate said the tribute created more traffic and risk to pedestrians. Fans should no longer hang or place items near the fence.

According to the Paisley Park website, the singer’s former home and production complex will be open for daily tours starting October 6th. Visitors will be able to see artifacts from the late musician’s collection including his wardrobe, awards, instruments, vehicles, artwork and rare music collection. Admission tickets will be sold exclusively online.

Prince died on April 21, 2016, in the Chanhassen, Minnesota complex. The cause of death was an accidental overdose of the prescribed opioid fentanyl.
