Todd County Cancels Missing Person Alert

The Todd County Sheriff’s Office has cancelled a missing person alert, after the body of Alan Michael Thomas, 47, of Osakis, was located. Officials cancelled the alert when he was found deceased by Minnesota Department of Transportation workers. It appears he was involved in a single vehicle accident on an unknown date.

According to a press release, Thomas left his residence on August 4, 2016, to visit friends in Blaine, Minnesota. Family and friends did not see or hear from him after he failed to return home the same day. Family members found it unusual for him to not be in contact and became concerned for his welfare.

Thomas had medical issues requiring him to take daily medication. He did not have his medication for the trip.
