LPTV NEWS

Volunteers

Volunteering at LPTV is a great way to meet new people, have fun and participate in public television. LPTV counts on loyal volunteers to help us answer phones during membership drives, greet guests during special events and assist with other station activities.

Every weeknight at Lakeland Public Television, we have three positions available for enthusiastic volunteers to help produce a live professional newscast: teleprompter, cameras, and audio. Even if you are new to these positions, we are more than happy to have someone work with you until you are comfortable.

The show starts at 9:58 and ends at 10:28. Volunteers arrive at 9:30 to prepare for the newscast. It’s a great opportunity to gain real world experience in a live television production setting. If you are interested in volunteering or have any questions feel free to email us at adziengel@lptv.org or call 218.333.3007

Lakeland Public Television Pledge Drives

Answering phones during pledge drives is a great way to support Lakeland Public Television! We do a quarterly live pledge drive were we enjoy working with groups of 5-10 volunteers. Food is provided, and volunteers enjoy meeting some of our staff, getting an inside peek at the studio, and getting a taste of what it’s like to be on camera.
