Stabbing Victim Near Mahnomen Identified

Authorities have identified the man killed last Friday near Mahmonen.

Jon Rock, 43, of Minneapolis, died from an apparent stab wound to his upper leg in a house south of Mahnomen. The Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office says foul play is suspected.

Deputies were called to the scene about 5:25 a.m. Friday after receiving a 911 call. The victim was found dead upon arrival.

The Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension continues to follow up with leads in connection with his death.
