Spry Guy: Bemidji Forward Spry Explodes In To BHS Record Books

Coming in to his senior season, Bemidji Forward Leo Spry had some lofty goals for himself. He already broke the career scoring record, with his 55th career goal last week against East Grand Forks. He’s now up to 59 career goals after netting his fifth hat trick of the season Monday, and he hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.

The undefeated Jacks, propelled by Spry’s 18 goals, have exploded to a 6-0 start, but both he and coach Rick Toward don’t want to overshadow the play of his teammates. With 10 regular season games to go, the sky is the limit for how far Spry can go. But while he says the personal accomplishments are nice, he’d trade them all for a section championship.
