Search For Missing Person In Cass County Continues

A search is underway to find a 66-year-old man from Federal Dam after a canoe was reported overturned on the east side of Leech Lake.

The canoe was located last night around seven in Sugar Point.

The missing man’s name has not been released.

Search efforts began immediately and continued today.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is leading the search along with the Federal Dam Fire Department, Leech Lake Tribal Police, Leech Lake DNR, State of MN DNR Conservation Officers, Lakes Area Dive Team and the Minnesota State Patrol.
