Officials Push for Lake Irving Fix

Authorities are coming together to find a solution to pollution in a Bemidji lake. Lake Irving was listed as an impaired water body in 2010 by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. It has stayed in that category ever since.

The chemical phosphorous is the main nutrient that has caused the lake to become dirty and turn green in the summer months. The MPCA says a combination of watershed flow and storm sewer drainage has caused the problem.
