New Leadership For Beltrami County Republicans

With National Republican Convention next week, the local Republican Party held a special convention of their own last week where they elected Rich Siegert as its new chairman and also voted for two new vice chairmen.

The chairman position became available last month after former chairman Ken Cobb stepped down because of his opposition to the presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Because Beltrami County is split between Minnesota’s 7th and 8th Congressional Districts, the Beltrami County Republicans elected two vice chairs. Roger Heger was elected vice chairman for the 7th District and Walter Pagel was voted in as vice chairman for the 8th.
