Nevis Football Hoping To Finish Season Strong

Roaming the sidelines four years ago as a ball boy, Jack DeWulf vividly remembers the last time Nevis went to state. As a junior on this year’s team, he says he’ll do anything to get that feeling back. He and the Tigers are doing their best to make it back to the top of the 9-Man ladder, currently sitting 6-0, with only two games left before section playoffs.

All roads on that journey appear to head through the QRF’S top rated team Waubun, but Nevis has no doubts they can compete. And while the offense has been the bread and butter for the Tigers averaging nearly 44 points per game, the team says it’s their defense, which only allows an average of seven points per game, that will have to carry them.
