A Memorial Day ceremony is scheduled for Greenwood Cemetery in Bemidji at 10 a.m. Monday. The Gettysburg Address will be read. Beltrami County Commissioner and veteran Joe Vene will sing the Star Spangled Banner. Iraq War veteran Gabe Wakanabo will give a speech as part of the ceremony.

A Memorial Day ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the Frohn Eastside Cemetery, located east of the Mississippi River bridge on Roosevelt Road Southeast.

Faith Baptist Church will be holding two Memorial Day services. The first will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at the Island Lake Cemetery, located on Highway 89 in Alaska Township. The second will take place at 11 a.m. at the Nebish Township Cemetery located on County 32.

The 31st annual Becida Memorial Day service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fern Township Cemetery.

A veterans Memorial Day dinner will be held at noon Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Laporte. All veterans will eat free. The Memorial Day services are as follows: 9 a.m. Evergreen Cemetery, followed immediately by Catholic Cemetery and 10 a.m. Laporte School, immediately followed by Lakeside Service and Lakeport Cemetery.

A Memorial Day ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. Monday at Blackduck High School.

 Spencer Ross American Legion Post 134 and the Legion Auxiliary, Walker, will hold its observances on Memorial Day at 10 a.m. at the Legion Club’s downstairs banquet room, 407 Front St., Walker.

Hackensack American Legion Post 202, Legion Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will hold two Memorial Day services. The first, conducted by the Auxiliary, will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Finnely Cemetery just off 43rd Ave. NE.

Hackensack American Legion Post 202, Auxiliary and Sons of the American Legion will hold a Memorial Day service at the Cass County Killed in Action Memorial at city park at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., formal services will continue at Hillcrest Cemetery.

The Anderson-Black American Legion Post and Legion Auxiliary of Laporte will hold Memorial Day services starting at 9 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, followed by a short presentation at Kabekona and the Catholic Cemetery. Immediately following will be a service at 10 a.m. at the Laporte School. A lakeside service at the landing on Garfield Lake will pay tribute to those lost at sea. Commemorations will conclude at the Lakeport Cemetery.

Sherman Yochum VFW Post 772 and Auxiliary of Longville will hold its annual Memorial Day observance on Memorial Day, 9:30 a.m., at the Longville Fire Hall.
