On Thursday, 38-year-old Emery James Jenkins of Inger, Minnesota was charged with two counts of Murder in the First Degree and
one count of Murder in the Second Degree. The charges are based on an investigation conducted by the Itasca County Sheriff s Office and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension into the death of Jenkins’ two-month-old son, which occurred on October 17, 2014.

At the hearing, Jenkins pled guilty to an amended charge of Manslaughter in the First Degree – Malicious Punishment of a Child.
