Kelliher/Northome Softball 2015 Preview

The Kelliher/Northome Mustangs galloped to a record of 10-5 last season. Unfortunately the season ended in the first round of the playoffs. The Mustangs would love to buck the trend of an early exit.

Kelliher/Northome rode their bats all season long in 2014. The Mustangs lit up the scoreboard with 11 runs per game, the fourth most in Class A. The offense should provide just as much power this season after graduating only one senior.

The Mustangs possess plenty of pitching experience. Senior Jackie Pierson will throw the majority of the innings for the fourth consecutive season. The veteran will look to pound the strike zone and make the opponents earn every run.

Five other seniors will back up their hurler in the field. The Mustangs believe their experience will translate into much better defense this season, after surrendering 9.6 runs per game in 2014.
