Heartland Animal Rescue Seeks Help From The Community To Stay Open
The Heartland Animal Rescue is in need of financial help.
The HART animal shelter serves all of Crow Wing, Cass and Aitkin counties. Being responsible for all of the stray animals in those regions has created a strain on their finances.
Some people abandon their cats outside of the building not even caring if there is room for them or not.
To cut down on cost HART has had to increase adoption rates and stop microchiping the animals.
Animals are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday.
