Haitian Doctor Makes A Stop In Brainerd To Tour Essentia Health Facilities

Becoming a doctor is hard enough; but becoming a doctor while being an orphan in Haiti well that’s almost impossible. However, that didn’t stop Doctor Jean Cleantus from achieving the impossible with the help of some American friends.

Currently, Doctor Jean is pursuing his master’s degree in public health administration.  But he doesn’t plan to stay in the states for long. He plans to take everything he learns here back to Haiti so he can help the people in his country.

Because of devastating poverty adequate healthcare is not available to most Haitians.

Today in an effort to learn more about healthcare delivery in rural areas he toured the Essentia Health facilities in Brainerd.

The doctor’s special trip was sponsored by “The Faith Project” and several different Rotary Clubs.

Doctors and staff showed him around their facilities and introduced him to all of their latest devices.

Doctor Jean will also be meeting with area Rotary Clubs on Sunday.
