Governor Mark Dayton To Visit Bemidji Wednesday

Governor Mark Dayton plans to visit with local tribal leaders at the Northwest Indian Development Center in Bemidji on Wednesday.

Governor Dayton’s focus for his visit is to strategize on how to close educational disparities. This is all part of the governors tour of the state’s 87 counties in 86 days.

Governor Dayton will also be stopping in Clearwater, Hubbard and Becker counties this week.

Before his Bemidji appearance Wednesday afternoon, Governor Dayton will discuss rural health care issues with local officials and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids.

Dayton will then travel to the Itasca State Park then travel to Detroit Lakes to speak about water concerns.
