Former Executive Director Of Sanford Center Resigns

Lakeland News has learned that the Sanford Center’s former Executive Director of Facility Operations Mike Cronin has resigned from his position at Bemidji’s event center.  

Last April, Cronin was promoted to executive director which was effective May 1, 2016.  Two weeks ago the Sanford Center underwent restructuring and laid off three positions, with plans to hire a new executive director, demoting Cronin to associate director of operations.  The decision on layoffs was credited to the labor at the facility was too heavy for the amount of business coming in.

The three positions included in the layoffs were the event coordinator, food and beverage manager, and director of guest experience.
