DNR Warns Locals of Fire Danger

Dangerous fire conditions will continue this week, according to a DNR press release.

A Red Flag Warning was in effect for northern Minnesota from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Crow Wing, Pine, south Cass and south Aitkin counties were included in a DNR list of other fire-prone areas for the day.

Officials say extreme or near-critical fire conditions will extend through Monday. Campfires are allowed but not encouraged in the affected areas.
