CSAH 45 (13TH ST SE) / Brainerd Area Construction Begins Soon

Crow Wing County is partnering with the City of Brainerd and has entered into a contract with Tri-City Paving for the construction work consisting of underground utilities, grading, aggregate base, and bituminous surfacing. Major underground utilities and grading will be limited to isolated road and alley crossings.

road-work-151707_960_720CSAH 45 from CR 117 (Thiesse Road) to TH 210 (Washington Street) will be under construction starting April 4th. The project will be completed in phases. The first phase detour will close 13th Street Southeast from Oak Street to Washington Street. The detour route will utilize Oak Street and 8th Street. Access to the Northern Pacific Center will be from Washington Street at first. Access will be from Oak Street to the Northern Pacific Center on the second half of the phase 1 detour. Please follow the Northern Pacific Center business detour signs.

This detour will last until approximately to the middle of May.
The second phase detour will close 13th ST SE from Willow Street to Oak Street. The detour will utilize Willow/Broadway/8th Streets. Please follow the Erickson Greenhouse business detour signs to access the business off of 12th Street. This detour will last from the middle of May to the middle of June.

Timing of the project will be contingent on weather and the project’s conditions. Coordination will be ongoing to update Emergency Management personnel, local law enforcement, and residents on the conditions of the road as construction progresses. Residents can stay informed of weekly schedules by Facebook, Twitter, or receiving notifications via e-mail/text by subscribing to the 6- Highway list name under News Flash at http://www.crowwing.us/list.aspx. Last minute changes during the week due to unforeseen circumstances will be posted on Facebook.
