Concordia Language Villages Celebrates its 50th Anniversary

Many call this place a one-of-a-kind cultural experience, and some call it home. For decades, Concordia Language Villages has accommodated thousands from all over the world, and today the community is celebrating its 50th anniversary.

Located in Bemidji, the renowned cultural immersion program has attracted many from all walks of life. There are seven villages built to date, ranging from Norwegian, German to Russian villages.

The program is also focusing heavily on building the younger generation to broader global perspectives with the help of scholarship programs.

Many call this place a life-changing global hub, where friends and family have come together. Many agree the exposure has led them to act and see the world differently.

CLV also have plans to incorporate more cultures into the community such as Japanese and Arabic in years to come.

CLV will host its annual International Day this July 8.
