Company Issues Recall On Candy

A Company has issued a recall on candy due to peanut allergies.

 

According to the FDA, Ferrara Candy Company has declared a recall on September 19th, on the product Brach’s Almond Supremes because another candy was found in the product.

 

The candy found was Brach’s Bridge Mix, which contains peanuts and wheat. If you have a peanut allergy, the company advises not to eat Brach’s Almond Supremes.

 

The product was distributed to the states: Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, and Wisconsin.

 

The product in question is in a 5 oz. package with the UPC 1130039733. The code date on the package is 6G23CC33102 with a best by date of 4/22/2017.

 

The Ferrara Candy Company has only received half of the recalled product. Full refunds can be obtained from your retailer with the product opened or unopened.

 

Currently there have been no reports of illness.
