Community Spotlight: Brainerd/ Baxter Royalty Send School Supplies To Louisiana

After the recent devastating flood in Louisiana New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead enlisted the help of the Miss United States National Pageant System to team up and help get school supplies to kids living in devastated areas.

The Brainerd Baxter royalty made it their mission to answer that call by raising money for school supplies.

Then the fun part began. The queens next took the money they raised to Target and did some shopping!

And with the generosity of the Southwest Airlines flying the supplies to Louisiana for free. The royalty drove to the cities and unloaded 1,000 pounds of school supplies.

Being members of the Miss Unites States National Pageant system means more than shiny crowns and pretty dresses it means living a life of service. The Queens are happy that they can partner up with royalty from all over the county and make a difference.

And although the Miss Brainerd/ Baxter pageant directors admit that because of time constraints the project initially appeared overwhelming; They couldn’t be more proud of their Queens.
