Community Mourns Mayor Wallin

The city of Brainerd continues to mourn over the unexpected death of longtime mayor James Wallin, it was reported Wallin died early Saturday morning at the age of 73. since 1998 when he was elected as city mayor, Wallin has continued to make an impact of those around him.

For over 28 years, James Wallin has served in the city government and for 17 as the mayor of Brainerd.

Along with his resume of experience, came his kind-hearted spirit.

And the love of his garden is something many community members will never forget.
