Common Ground: Oylen Tractorcade & Painter/Poet Lea Johnstone

In this episode of Common Ground, collectors of old tractors gather in Oylen, Minnesota for a bit of nostalgia at the Oylen Tractorcade. Lea Johnstone of Backus, Minnesota takes us back to a more simple time, painting farm scenes depicted in photographs from the early 1900’s. Johnstone, a retired school administrator, also writes poetry to accompany each of her paintings and shares her talent with others throughout the community.
